Fridays Fare

2.50 York - Yaa Wayl

was a very good 4th last time out in the Victoria International Stakes at Royal Ascot off 103 - raced keenly that day and stil only went down by 1 3/4l

Has had 4 runs this season so far and been extremely consistent - winning twice (once on g/f and once on g/s), 2nd once and 4th once

I think he is still on an upward curve and if he settles a bit better than lto he should take all the beating here and prove very tough to keep out of the places

7.40 Kilbeggan - Supercede

is a new horse since being transferred to the Gordon Elliot stable, winning at Perth very easily over hurdles by 14l on his first start for him

lto he ran over fences at Tramore where he jumped very well for the most part and once again won very easily in the end, he faces a rise in the weights here but looks like there is much more left in the tank and he is one of the few in this race with any sort of potential for improvement

1.45 York Tuesday

Oldjoesaid - Worth one last chance at 33/1 with Lads here surely

Was just over 2l 4th in a competitive race here in May on his second run of the season over 6f - when gettin going very late in the day and staying on very strongly at the finish

Only beaten over 4l when finishing midfield in the Epsom Dash after missing the break and bein way back early, stayed on strongly without troubling the leaders - ^ both runs off 93

Has disappointed on his last 3 starts but at Goodwood he was drawn in the centre where 6 of the 1st 7 were drawn high, the other in 1

At Hamilton he went to post early and played up in stalls, was drawn 12, 1st 3 were drawn 1/2/4

At the Curragh just was nt good enough, was a funny race though where very few got into it

Drawn 9 tomorrow but should be plenty of pace around him with Glamorous Spirit in 12 and the fav just inside him in 8

Drops to a mark of 85 here and if he can break on terms could have a decent e/w shout imo - just hope there is not 2 non runners

Great St Wilfred 3.30 Ripon

Tajneed - looks the bet of the day to me here even though this is a very competitive handicap

3/3 over course and distance

Has won on ground

Has won off 92, runs off 94 here - has been 2nd off 2lbs higher in the Ayr Gold Cup

Very eyecatching run lto when he fluffed the start completely and swerved way to the right and was tailed off in last but flew home to finish 3 3/4l 11th of 20  behind Haweyethenoo in the Sky Bet Dash

3pts win Tajneed 10/3 Betfred bog

6.00 Newmarket - worth an e/w play

Ginger Ted - 3lbs higher than last winning mark,

-has won on todays ground g/s

dissapointed last time slightly when finishing 6th but the ground may have been slightly too quick for him

dead heated for 2nd at Ayr the run b4 that when battling on well under pressure and will be tough to keep out of the places here

One for the boys in blue??

7.10- Sandown Asraab

Well fancied on debut when going off 6/4 fav in a Newmarket maiden and won a lot more comfortably than the heads margin suggests.

Illustrioius prince 2nd won nto - now rated 80

3rd/4th not out since

Beaumonts Party 5th had 2 runs b4 hand - won 3weeks ago now rated 72

Gojeri 6th won last week off 75

Ghazwah 7th had 3 runs b4 hand (placed in2) - won next 2 races, now rated 78

Imperial Delight 8th - has won twice this year now rated 82

State Gathering 9th - has won since now rated 83

Decency 10th has won twice since - now rated 65

Billie Jean 11th has won since - now rated 58

May Chorus 12th not won since - rated 59

Compton Way 13th - placed since - rated 65

14th not out since

Tel Halaf 15th has won since - now rated 72

Brodys Boy last - done nothing since, rated 55

The first 3 were clear that day of the rest - Frankie was very easy on him in the last 1/2f that day and looked like there was plenty more in the tank - been off for nearly a year though which is a slight worry but could be let in very lightly here off 85 imo with a lot of room for improvement with only 1 run under his belt and 11/4 with PP bog rates a solid bet imo

3pts win Asraab 11/4 Paddy Power best odds guaranteed

Poor Fare on Tuesday

Only one that catches the eye

8.05 Ffos Llas - King of Reason

Ran an absolute stormer when 5th in the Britannia at Royal Ascot off 83 -

Sea Lord over 1l behind in 8th has won 3 times since
Fireback in 9th won nto
Cummulus Nimbus 14th has won a decent handicap at Newmarket since

And many more that finished behind have decent placed form since with quite a few not turning out again yet.

Gained a confidence booster at Brighton nto when romping away with a maiden but it was only a 2 horse race

Then last time out ran a massively eyecatching race when left with way too much to do when going off a well backed favourite of a Class2 handicap at Newmarket.
Was held up out the back and it looked a hopeless task with 1f to go but absolutely ate up the ground to go down by just 1/2l and a short head in finishing 3rd - with a more competent ride here should take an awful lot of beating off a mark 2lbs higher with a 7lbs age/weight allowance from the 4yo+

Monday Ballinrobe

Some value possibly to be had in the 8.20 at Ballinrobe tomorrow in my opinion in the form of Vino Vino Cavo.

Has been in the first 3 in 3 of his last 4 runs - winning at Limerick beating Cabernet Sauvignon who has won twice since

Disappointed when a well fancied favourite at Gowran last time out but that was on good/firm groiund and may just have proven 2 quick for this fella who has won on good and been placed on good and soft

A very open looking race tomorrow but i really think this fella can be forgiven that run last time and given another chance at what should be an e/w price

2pts e/w Vino Vino Cavo 8.20 Ballinrobe @ sp

+17.50

A small e/w double with this fella and a horse who i backed last time out and was a big eyecatcher on the return from a break in the 8.50 Clonsilla Fath, had winners all around him on his first run over hurdles at Leopardstown but then missed a year and a half but ran an eyecatching race on return when finishing a close 6th at Ballinrobe, that should have put him spot on for this

3.25 Haydock Saturday - a solid e/w

Hot Prospect - finished 3rd in the Lingfield Derby Trial in May b4 going on to be outclassed at Epsom

But its his run last time out that really caught the eye when getting stopped in his run 3 times in the last furlong in a very competitive handicap at Newmarket - still only went down by 1 1/2l after meeting al that trouble - Breakheart who is the main danger tomorrow was just over 1l in front that day in 2nd off  85 with Hot Prospect off 101

Hot Prospect has maybe harshly been risen 2lbs for his run that day and now runs off 103 with Breakheart off 91 after another close up 2nd behind Hanoverian Baron lto - so Hot Prospect has a 4lb turn around for a length and had a luckless run - looks a crackin e/w bet @ 9/2

Treble for Friday

3.20 Worcester -The Jigsaw Man rated 139 over hurdles which puts him well ahead of these, a beaten odds on favourite last 2 times he has raced over fences but his is a very poor race and would be disappoiting if he could nt take this.

2.10 Lingfield - Reckless Reward already a CD winner, was 2nd in the G2 Norfolk at Royal Ascot, should take this head in chest.

7.05 Musselburgh - Arctic Feeling, beaten fav lto when just getting run out of it late on, a very quick horse - hopefully blast off and they wont be able to get to him.

3pts treble at sp

Suit can prove the Strongest!

Phoenix Stakes Curragh Sunday:

Strong Suit - A very impressive winner on debut when winning in a good time at Newbury form of that race has been massively franked
2nd Neebras - won nto then was 2nd in a G2
3rd Formosina - won nto then won a G2
5th Major Conquest - dual winner since
7th Indigo Way - won only race since

He ran at Royal Ascot where he went off a very well backed favourite in the  G2 Covenrty Stakes where he travelled like a very good horse b4 meeting all sorts of trouble in running b4 goin onto win from a seemingly
impossible position

His only major rival is Dunboyne Express - a wide margin 8l winner of the G3 Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh - i believe that run has to be taken with a pinch of salt though as Samuel Morse surely didnt run up to form

So all in all Strong Suit at Evens with Paddy Power looks one of the bets of the weekend

Phoenix Stakes Curragh Sunday 3pts win Strong Suit - 1/1 Paddy Power

Europa League

Some hot lookin favourites tonight in the Europa League but hard to see anything but convincing victories for most of them- the one i really like and cant see beyond is Liverpool (-1)

Liverpool - 2-0 winners away in the first leg, have named a stronger squad here and be disappointing if they cant win by 2 or more

Liverpool (-1) an absolute standout with sportingbet at 4/11 - 5pts win single

8.00 Sligo - Back into a maiden? Back into form?

Takasima - Has yet to reach the form of last year this season when second on his final 2 starts when rated 83 and 80.

Has plummeted to a mark of 65 though after a few lackluster runs this season.

Back into a maiden here after a few runs in better races and was a few bob around for it today

But didnt run too badly lto when finishing in mid division in a competitive handicap at the Curragh.

Was competitive for a long way that day only fading back late on, has the brilliant Gary Carroll on here and must have solid e/w claims in a poor maiden.

2pts e/w 8/1 Gen

Nothing fancy here just some form studyin and hopefully some luck!

Quite simply, an attempt to make some money and stay disciplined!

Bets will be across a number of sports but will be mainly horse racing and football.

Both backing and laying.

+/- calculated at the end of every week/month.

Break level wil probably be a result but with a bit of luck who knows.
